Irena Plakhov's Studio. I'm from Kyiv. I chose my path in the clothing industry, unaware that it stemmed from my ancestors, who owned a sewing workshop. At age 7, my grandmother gave me a sewing machine, and my first clients were my favorite dolls. At 12, my first independent project was a skirt! Then a prom dress. Thus, from childhood, my life was firmly connected with the fashion industry. Thanks to my academic success, I had the opportunity to exchange experiences in Bulgaria. I worked at the prestigious adventure agency "Lux" in Kyiv. Returning to my historical homeland, I found the job I coveted with Iris Bayer. Some time later, in 1996, I began working at the bridal salon "Pnina Torne," which gained recognition thanks to fashion shows, beauty contests, and performances by stars such as Dana International, Pnina Rosenblum, singer Rita, and many others. I worked at Sharon Levy's salon "O GOD" and simultaneously began my independent career. In 2009, I won a prize in the "Vzglyad-2009" competition, where the renowned Soviet and Russian fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev was on the jury.
For me, fashion is a language in which to tell the story of femininity. Today, I create evening and wedding dresses in the prêt-à-porter and haute couture styles, bringing ideas to life as a designer, constructor, and tailor. In each look, I help women find their unique style, harmoniously combining elegance, lightness, and individuality.
